Sean Lavelle the owner of longnecks night club asked Liam Collins to get involved with the re-design and manufacture of the night club. Sean had the designs ready but needed a team of fabricators to manufacture the units and put them together. On this project we used a variety of materials, corian, perspex, poycarbonate, acrylic mirror, polyethylene, acrylic tubes, frosted acrylic, and opal acrylic. The project was based on lighting and the theme was of a barrel effect. The curved cocktail bar and counter front were made from corian, the backdrop was made from acrylic mirror and frosted perspex to let the lighting change take effect. Acrylic tubes were used over the main bar - also changing colour with lighting. The DJ booth was made from 3mm opal polycarbonate, the backdrop was made from polyprophalene. Acrylic mirror was used for the shelves in the bar. The lightboxes were made from polycarbonate. The longnecks project was very challenging and demanded the very best from our team and it shows in the quality of the finished units. Sean’s project took 12 weeks to complete
